Immediately after microneedling treatment, the skin may be red and slightly swollen.
These after-effects usually subside within a day, but can last up to a week before disappearing completely.
As the skin is temporarily more sensitive to the sun after microneedling, it must be protected from the sun with a sufficiently high sunscreen.
